While it is almost always disappointing to see U-M win, I am pleased for WMU grad, and former player, Saddi Washington, who is an assistant at U-M.

Congratulations, Saddi!
Saddi will be an outstanding head coach some day. He's working for a classy head coach.
Saddi tore his ACL at some point, right? Seems all great WMU guards tear their ACL, Saddi (I think), Reed, Kool. Maybe Wilder tears his early in the season, gets a medical redshirt, then leads Western to a final 4 in his 5th year?
Actually, I think Saddi sustained serious injuries to both knees. Bounced back nicely!

Sad. Please dont even mention a injury like that.

Neither Reed or Saddi were ever the same after surgery. Good just not as good. Actually Reed was forced to completely change the type of player he was. Became a jump shooter rather than dribble penetrate guard WMU recruited.

The summer before senior season I used to walk at lunch and would often slip in UA for a couple laps. More than once I saw Reed all alone just shooting, he'd shoot a few on one end, then sprint to the other end and shoot some more, back and forth, all sweaty. He payed his dues. Carried a 47-48% 3 percentage for much of the senior season. Earned it.
