Not anything the non-power conference schools haven't been saying for years. The metric is stacked against these schools. The subjective factors are stacked against these schools. Non-power school at-larges are becoming a thing of a by-gone era.

If the conference cares about what happens to its rep in the NCAA, the conference tournament should probably give a greater advantage to the top seed. With our
stumble, the NCAA seed really suffered. Went from a decent upset chance to no chance.
I agree. If we are going to have all 12 teams in then play 5-12 at home sites. That gets you to 8 -- then go back to old way-- 3-4 get single bye and 1-2 get double bye

That's what the MAC does. 5-12 at Campus sites. Those 4 winners plus the top 4 head to Cleveland for the 8 team double bye format that we used last year

Unfortunately, it means finishing 5-12 means you have to win 5 games in like 8 days to win the tournament.
Why's that unfortunate? You earn your spot in the regular season. If I had my druthers, we'd be like the new Ivy League and not have a tourney.

Or just the top four finishers in the regular season since nobody plays a balance schedule.

Kent State won the MAC this year as the six seed. I believe they only had to win 4 games to do so.

Said every #1 seed beaten in a one bid conference tourney.

In some years the SBC can benefit in the tourney (when the 1 seed goes dancing regardless).

If we're a two bid league the tourney is great.

That was because the MAC changed their format this year and eliminated the double bye for the top 2 seeds.

It shows how thin the margin is between the top teams in the conference. uta loses a key player in the conference tourney and then gets knocked out. It will be interesting to see if they can make adjustments by tonight at BYU..

I'd say they adjusted pretty well, running all over byu...even with Bilbao at 50%
