That's an awkward arrangement. What if he runs the table in the conference tourney and gets the auto-bid?

Also, where do you see him landing? I'm thinking USF.

South Alabama should grab him. He played HS in Mobile and his dad was a former AD there.

I'm thinking he lands as a color guy for ESPN basketball coverage for both the ACC and SEC for a year or two and then a small school in the South.

NC State has used up that kinda luck back in 1983. I think the basketball Gods only allow that kid of thing to happen once every 100 years or so.
Was there another point guard's girlfriend involved this time?

That's what happens when you cross train with Mike Dubose!
NC State should reach out to Fred Hoiberg.

I'm fine with replacing Matt Graves with anyone at this point. Gottfried might do okay here. It would hard to do worse than Graves. USA went TWO CALENDAR YEARS without a OOC D1 win in basketball under Graves. A really pathetic turn of events for a once proud program.
NC State probably thinks they'll get Archie.

Think he can work with/for Yow?
They'll make their obligatory call to Gregg Marshall I'm sure.

Yow is 66. No rumors about retiring but it is likely she won't be around much more than a year or three.

Well, it's either Archie Miller, Gregg Marshall, Will Wade, Tom Crean, Brad Stevens, Shaka Smart, Sean Miller, Jay Wright, or Mike Brey.

A little insight from Crack Ride.

NC State should pursue Jeff Lebo.

Pretty please.
Seth Greenberg is available.

That is if they go the route they did last time and hire someone who's been a commentator for a few years.

The call will definitely be made. That's where it'll end.

Yow has already said she is retiring in two years.

I saw that. Thanks for the update.

That's still too much time around her.

You know she isn't going to coast the rest of the way out. She could have left Gottfried's job well enough alone and for the next AD to determine. Now, there will be a new coach that she gets to choose, with an AD she may not. "Not my hire." That's a garbage inheritance.
