Reedus is the only signee, I can feel quite confident will be able to come here and play right away. That kid at Holmes may be ready to play as well. While we need to build the program with freshman, most freshman that we can sign are probably not quite ready to be major contributors. Hopefully, Hadzic having practice time with the team this season will be more ready than most.

Looks like this program needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Glad Wes is bringing in a solid foundation of freshman. Hopefully, what we have coming back, plus Reedus and maybe Holmes will make us competitive next season. Finding a senior transfer would be nice, as well. Many senior transfers appear to be midmajor guys (e.g. Mariek; James White) who want to transfer up. We need a high major guy who doesn't see enough PT where he is at and wants to be the big man on campus his last season playing college ball.

It appeared that he also has some European experience.

Yes. Looks like played internationally for the BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA National Team; Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18. Didn't start, but did get some minutes. Most was for the Under 16 team when he averaged 13.6 minutes and 6.6 points. If I recall correctly, Will Neighbour was a key contributor for the England teams he played on as a teenager, but I don't believe they are ranked as high as BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA. If he is at all comparable to a healthy Will Neighbour, we will have gotten a steal.
Where did you find those stats, Pappy? I hadn't found them anywhere
Pappy, I agree with your comments on your blog. When we sign guys early (I don't believe we have ever signed 6 before), I assume we are getting guys we really wanted. Otherwise you just wait until the Spring. You are signing guys who you believe might well get a higher level offer if you don't get them early. Obviously, that is where a good assessment of talent is crucial. I think Reedus is one of those guys. Hopefully, one or two of the high school signees are in the same boat. I always figure that if 2 kids in a class turn out to be really good players you have had a successful recruiting year. I believe Wes will be a good recruiter. This is really his first class. We should know if he hit on the 2 Jucos by the second half of next season. It will likely take longer to assess the 4 freshman. We have 2 freshman, this season, who have barely seen the floor. Does that mean they won't ever be contributors? I am certainly entertaining that possibility, but it is likely much too early to for us to know for sure. I think Wes and the staff likely do know.
