Let's go ahead and get this started.

Who all will be buying a space to tailgate in our group? I'll get one.

Do we want to chip in and invest on a bigger tent?

I know blazerwkr has some ideas..........
Kind of new to tailgating.
How much are the spaces and does it include parking for your vehicle?
Thanks

The spaces are really only big enough for the car, so most of us park elsewhere. Generally you get a parking pass with season tickets, so you use that for parking, and then we have a 2x3 grid of tailgating spaces we have purchased that are empty and we setup canopies/grill/table/chairs etc
Previously the spaces were $95 per season. It does not include additional room for parking.

In past seasons we have varied between having 8 to 15 spots.

Perhaps we should set up a method to take donations towards spots, a new canopy, etc. from those who want to donate to the cause.

I'll get at least one space.
I will get a space and I can chip in on a new tent.
Really the best way to do it would be for us to just pool money and have one person get 6 spaces together in a 3x2 grid for the tents and everything. will be easier to do it that way than to play musical spaces trying to get the block reserved.

That is a good idea (pooling money to have a single person rent the needed contiguous spaces). For those who don't know by either actual name or address the people who would be willing to accept that responsibility, we need (perhaps by PM) an actual person's name (for a check) and address to which to send our contributions for spaces and supplies.

The Xmas Club idea in post #9 has possibilities -- keep us posted as to how to help out.
I'm in AB, just tell me how much $ to chip in.
From what I gathered at the discussion we had at one of the bball tailgates w/ them (I forget the guy's name but he's in the ticket office & I'd probably recognize his face), many changes are forthcoming & yet to be decided. Generally speaking if I understood correctly, somewhere on the west side of the stadium, maybe near where or on that soccer/football field that is over there, will be the actual canopy/tailgate set up spots - no parking there but parking would be nearby that you could buy. So in essence, we'd have to buy a space/spaces to set the canopies up in strictly for tailgating & parking would be separate expense. I don't know how large the "tailgate spots" would be but a guess would be the same as a parking spot ie large enough for 1 10x10 canopy & a little left over. They may have changed their minds or who knows what they've got in mind now. It's hard to make our plans, when they don't even know what they have in mind. Maybe it'll be clearer by spring game. Last season we played at LF, we bought 4 together between Attalla, Blazerjay & I for tailgate set up & I parked my truck in 1 most times. IIRC it was about $95-100/spot

As we've talked about in the past, maybe this is the time where we start some kind of Xmas club savings account for BT & use it to buy the tailgate spot/spots & parking would be up to the individuals.

I'm hearing rumors that parking pass no longer comes with season tickets. You might want to check on that before you count on it. They're nickel and dimeing us hard.
That's what I hear as well
Yes. They are and it's all Ingram. He was warned by everyone that is anyone not to do it and it was his call. I know a few here know this as well and can confirm.

The Blazer Club level contribution in 2014 included parking in the official's parking lot on the south end. That made it much easier for my wife who can no longer do steps or ramps - so we need access to the elevator. That parking access is critical to our plans for 2017 home games.
I will contribute "for the good of the cause (tailgating)" if I know how to get it done.
Hope to come visit you guys this year for a couple of games.

Any chance you guys will be tailgating during any of the CUSA men's basketball tournament?
Do we have an idea when the spots go on sale? Does the athletic dept get the money from the tailgate spots or does that go to the city?
Bump.

Looks like they left off the tailgating section on the new map released today. I messaged them and was told we can tailgate in any parking area. Looks like someone didn't think this through in our AD. SMDH.
SOOOOO no designated tailgate area?

There is this on the map page.... The Blazer Walk will also be located closer to the tailgate area.
