Not a bad crowd numbers wise for MBB vs. EMU last night. The crowd included many Rocket FB players and Coach Brian George. Coach George was very personable and his players were very respectful. And as always, LOVE THE BAND!!!
Can you imagine if we were 10-2. We would average 6000 or so. Some people just need a big winner....
We will have a big crowd Saturday, and some big ones down the stretch as we end our final 3 at home.
A top 4 seed is up for grabs with 5 teams at 6-5, and us right behind them. I bet 10-6 will be the #2 and a couple teams at 11-7 will make that bye... finish 5-1!!! Senior night for Lauf and JonJon will be nice.

And Garber. Hope he can play again this year.
Taylor is a senior.

Can you imagine if we won championships, won big games, and made the NCAA tourney on a consistent basis? We would be able to steal some of those confused Toledo citizens who root for either O$U, scUM, Notre Dame, or MState. This city is full of people who need a big winner, that's why a lot of people here root for those schools, because they can count on them to win big games and induce pride in them. Toledo could be that school if some major investments were made, much like Cincinnati is doing with their campus, athletics facilities, etc.

Close to 50 million dollars has been invested in athletic facilities this past decade... But I agree, more needs to be done... Baseball, soccer, and upgraded GB lighting should be addressed some time in the near future...

Duh! How'd Inforget HIM? Guess I was just thinking of that class that stayed four years,
Lauf and Jon Jon are the draws though... hometown hero and top 10 scorer in UT history.

Hometown hero? Napolean? And they're all a draw for me.

He played in the NLL.. ha. He's been a fan favorite since he stepped on the floor at UT. Who doesn't like a good looking kid who stays out of trouble, gets good grades, and hustles his butt off?

Are you talking about Lauf or Garber, who played 22 miles further away and meets all the criteria except for playing in the NLL, which has no team's in Toledo? Could be either.

Garber hasnt contributed nearly as much in his 4 years... I understand he's been injured but he probably wont even be healthy on Senior Night. Lauf is a much bigger draw for senior night than Garber. I won't exactly miss him next year. That's no slant on him... I'm just a bigger lauf fan.

And Garber went to Vanlue 1 hour and 45 minutes away??? Most of our fans saw Lauf play in high school when they played in Sylvania, Holland, or Monclova.

Uh, you're REALLLLLLY reaching there. Most of our fans probably never saw Lauf in HS. Many, like me, probably had no idea who he was til he was drafted, but if you want to think Senior Night is about your favorite two guys, OK.

Vanlue is actually 61 minutes from UT. And Napoleon is 45 minutes. But who's counting.

we invested big bucks in savage a decade ago, and the 3 newest big expensive arenas are NIU EMU n BSU and none have improved since moving in. the best teams in the MAC for the past 20 years have been akron and kent with buffalo making a push in the past 10. those 3 have the worst facilities in the mac along w miami. cincy was better in football when nippert was a dump
