The Cincinnati Bearcats will be homeless for the 2017/2018 basketball season as Fifth Third Arena undergoes a much need renovation. With that happening the Bearcats need to find a place to play, that place appears to be NKU’s BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky.

Yes. I've heard from a few that NKU is likely. I'm sure USBA is displeased with this development. https://twitter.com/daniel2burke/status/...7362629632

The final twist of the knife there. In the immortal words of Adele, "you could have had it aaaaaaaaaallllll"
My first choice coming from the east side (Anderson Township).
NKU has a nice arena. I think this will work out fine. Parking is easy also.
Looks pretty nice...

I'm in. Expands exposure and may draw in new fans. Easier to sellout.

Friends who have been there tell me it's an excellent basketball arena with plenty of parking. I'm fine with it. Given the team UC should put on the court next season they shouldn't lose a game there.
I've been there for an NKU game and for the Circus. It is a really nice venue--- not a bad seat in the house.

For me this is no big deal-- the drive is basically the same (maybe a minute or two less actually).

Edit: Yeah plenty of parking and it is an easy/quick walk into the arena.
Works for me, always seemed like the best option unless US Bank offered a really good deal and that never seemed likely.
Its one year so not a big deal but I don't like it. Feels odd playing in another schools arena where-as playing at USBA downtown feels more big time. The color scheme and logo will all still be NKU. It'll look like UC is playing all away games.
I've been there for concerts and it is a nice arena. I've never had any big problems with parking or getting in and out.

I'm sure we will play on a UC logo floor.

With some quick change flags and well places banners it will feel and look like home for a year.

Pretty sure they would cover everything with UC signs.

I've been to BB@T probably 5 or so times. It is a first class arena and getting to it and parking are fantastic. I don't think anyone would be disappointed plus, UC would likely pack the place. Hell I bet a whole lot of NKU students would be there also. They have a ton more students living on campus than when most of you were probably in college.
I could honestly leave my house 15 minutes before tip and probably be in my seat for tipoff.

Only thing I'm wondering is the floor. Knowing the install time for that, I highly doubt they'd be able to switch out unless they block schedule games between the two schools. That would look very odd on TV, but in all honesty, of all the options this is by far the most fan-friendly.
With the team we expect to see next season we should expect many sellouts there. Great way to set the stage for a return to the new 5th/3rd in November 2018 which should be, qualitatively, among the top 5% of collegiate venues in the nation. The future looks (very) bright.
I've been there 3 X...the acoustics will be really loud,,good seating,,
Parking exiting can be difficult if heading east..

I'm in
I'm fine with NKU. I hoped they could do a deal with the Coliseum, because, even though it's a crappy arena, it's downtown, which is a bigger stage than a nicer arena at a little school 10 minutes into the KY burbs. I also think fans complain too much about arenas generally, especially for basketball, which is a pretty short game with few breaks in the action.

You can probably flip the floor in 3-4 hours. It really doesn't take that much time and manpower. The floors today interlock and pull apart like lego's. They then stack them on a pallet and drive them away to the storage area. MSG does it almost every day.
