How long before this is a reality? I dunno if the Jags owner has the wherewithal to build a new stadium (to replace Qualcomm). But this makes too much sense NOT to happen.
St Louis or London jaguars are more likely.
I agree that the Gateway City is the better candidate.
The lease on the Jaguar's stadium is reputed to be one of the most difficult to break. They won't move to Saint Louis unless they wish to play in some high school stadium. The dome will be remodeled for use as exhibition/convention space only. Ultimately, the dome will be demolished and replaced by a dedicated exhibition/convention addition to the convention center.

Saint Louis City is small and poor. Saint Louis County residents are tired of being taxed for things in the city. The state is not going to be paying for stadiums for any pro teams.
I do remember hearing that Edward Jones would be converted into a convention only space.
San Diego is dead to the NFL.
And while stupid, I do believe lew240z that the NFL is dead to St Louis.

England and Mexico will be the new "threats" for the NFL to use as leverage in negotiating for new publicly financed stadiums.
