Gonna be hard to win many games when you shoot 2-18 from 3, and Jay-Ann goes 1-10. Hopefully they got the bad one out of their system before MAC play.

Not to mention 16-28 from the free throw line. But this Rockets team can win games when they shoot poorly because of the strong defense. Detroit is not great, but they're not bad either. They would be in the middle of the MAC, I think.
First time this season that they haven't look very sharp (although Santucci and McIntyre played pretty well)--and they still won. Last season at this time they'd had a handful of games like tonight. Really nice turnaround; let's hope it continues into MAC play!
On the bright side you have to be doing something right when to have as poor a night offensively as the Rocket did and still win against an OK team. When you play good defense, you will rarely be embarrassed by the final score.
Kudos to Sara Rokkanen who has not seen a lot of floor time but came tonight and scored 8 points on 4 shots including the only two 3-pointers the team had for the night-----and all this in about her first 4 minutes in the game (she came in again in the second half but never got a shot off). She gave the team a big boost when they needed it.
