We so we have our next game tomorrow evening @Rider. Rider is 6-3 with a 16 point win over Hartford. They did also beat Bashir's Wagner squad. Nothing really impressive about this team but will still be a tough road win for our squad. They are a normal sizes team like St Joes, so no real size to them. It appears the matchup to watch with be senior Kahlil Thomas, who is averaging a double double, and senior Rodney Williams. I imagine they will battle it out down low.

Have not heard if we will be fully healthy going into this one or not. Key as always is to take care of the ball and keep Rodney on the court. My guess is its a close game most of the way and we tire down the stretch and they put it away with free throws (despite being a 60.5% as a team)

Drexel: 72
Rider: 84
If Drexel is playing at full strength, I think they can pull this out. I'll make the same prediction as Dan, but with the opposite result. Hopefully Miles is OK and is back on the court. His absence may have been the difference losing the SJ.

Not sure what to make of Rider. They're 6-3 but haven't faced much competition. Ironically, strictly from a current RPI standpoint, Drexel is the best team that Rider has faced thus far.
I saw Rider as 5 point favorites this morning.
I am a Rider fan and have seen or listen to all their games. Rider is pretty strong starting 5 - with starting 3 seniors, a graduate transfer (from Southern Miss) and a freshman point guard.

Rider bench has been weak and inconsistent. Rider is now only suiting up 9 players. They have 2 transfers sitting out, a freshman who had clearinghouse issues and one of their top freshman tore his ACL in the last game. Rider at times has look good, (against weak competition) but has let teams stay in the game and not put together a 40 minute game.

Rider is not a good shooting team, but hits the boards hard and although they are not big, their post players are strong and physical.

I expect a tight game.

Good luck.[/align]
Rider is a very bad 3 pt shooting team. Pack the paint and control the boards and keep the bigs out of foul trouble on D. Pound it down low to Rodney (17th in country in drawing fouls according to KenPom) and get Norville Carey and Kahlil Thomas into foul trouble, hit some threes and break the 2L/2W streak.

Drexel: 77
Rider: 71

Welcome. I think most expect it to be a close game. The physical part is why I am concerned because I think that means Rodney will get too many fouls too quickly and am not thinking us defending your bigs without him will be easy. Sounds like Drexel needs to continue pushing tempo and utilize the lack of depth of Rider
Anyone got a streaming link for tonight's game?

Here it is.

But they charge $5.95 to view it. That's a pet peeve of mine, especially many teams and leagues like Drexel and the CAA offer their stream for free.

Tickets to watch the game at the Broncs Zoo are $8 (bargain) and it costs $6 to stay home and watch it on a crappy video feed.
DU audio feed is annoying, as Rob Brooks noted, with the Riders fans basically sitting next to him and Tuberosa.

Have to agree. It seems like an odd place to put the opposing radio people. I'm sure all student section sound similar, but it just doesn't seem like it reflects very well on the University.
Drexel leads 45-41 at halftime. Drexel's largest lead was at least 8. Drexel made 5 out of 7 three-pointers. Jimmie Taylor leads all players with 15 points. Drexel is led by Overton with 11, Rodney Williams with 10, and Lee with 9. Mojica leads all players with 6 rebounds.

I just got home to listen to the rest of the game, and I agree, it's hard to listen to. From what I remember, they radio announcers sit on the baseline at the corner.

Just imagine of everything yelled by the front row of the DAC Pack was broadcast.
