I got to see one of his shows back in the day. Either at the Sports Arena or the old arena at UT, can't recall which. Sports Arena I think. Awful seats, like right to the side of the stage, not too high up. When he was taking the stage there was some kind of bit with a cape, like they were trying to keep it on him and he kept throwing it off, or vice versa, I can't remember anymore. It was a good funky show, of course. Love that music, man.
