WTF! Wonder what happened.
According to the stat sheets, he played 25 minutes, 5 minutes, and 2 minutes the last three games. One might wonder if something happened during that trip, and after/between game 1 and 2 of the tourney.
Kind of disappointed in TK's recruiting of the current new additions (minus one, now). Have no idea what the issue was, so I'm not trying to say Dzierzawski shouldn't have been dismissed from the team...but TK brought in 4 new guys this season, one is now gone, the 2 true freshmen look over-matched at this level of play (will they both stay after this season? Should they?), and that leaves Antunez, who was injured and is just getting back to playing in the recent 3-game tournament he had more fouls than points or assists...and this is a guy who I thought would be helpful.

The one position TK needed to shore up this season for sure was PG...we had 4 scholarships to give...and it doesn't look like he was successful.
Very dissapointing. If it wasn't for Taylor who is one and done, this year's new comers are very underwhelming.

Taylor has indeed been a huge addition. I didn't count him only because he was actually already here last season, sitting out his transfer year. But this year's class is looking dangerously close to being a bust. Certainly not what TK needed.
Yeah, see my post from last week. Our guys don't have that eye test D1 level look. They are ok athletes in their own right, but I have a sense that they would all be doing the same thing if they were on a D3 team. When we rolled out our MAC tourney finals team from a few yrs ago, we at least looked D1 legit from 1 through 7 that year. And played like one until the finals.

That's too bad. Tough time to get somebody else in here, too.
I'm thinking it was lack of solid effort on defense.

Not his exact words but the part of the coaches show I listened 2 last night he mentioned he did not play the last game (or several games)because a multitude of things the coach did not like.
Really? I didn't hear the coaches show or what you guys might have heard. I thought it might have been a off team trouble kind of thing. Not sure why. If it was because he didn't want to play as a team player, I'm all on board with that.

I feel guilty for thinking the worse though.

He said a multitude of things I got the Impression that some of that could be off the court issues.
Not the way you like to see the new season kick off. Wonder what the team chemistry was/is like?

I was joking. The LAST thing that would get you kicked off this team is bad defense.

I think Roberts could provide valuable depth in the future, but he's not good enough to do anything this year. He has potential, though. His development, or lack thereof, will say a lot about how the coaches can develop players. I agree with you that he'd be an instant starter for any top D3 program.

Gordon is an athlete/project from a big-time program who probably won't see much time during his career at UT. You can only play five guys at a time and it is going to be really tough for him to break through unless he improves dramatically.

Good to know, thanks.

More likely to get kicked off for trying to play too much defense.
Sadly,

THis one has to go into Coash's negative drawer. Should have had a better vetting. Losing a player this quickly for "reason," there had to be signs.
