I may be reading between the lines incorrectly, but I think Coach is saying that for now Watts will redshirt because he is not in playing shape. If Lavender and Baxter can't handle the job, he'll bring Watts back this year.

Hes definitely saying Watt' isnt in playing shape. I think the decision to red shirt him was always more for that reason than depth.

Wonder what Watts' situation is that it came to that?

I may be reading it differently, but I glt the impression Watts' redshirt is off, bit they're just going to slowly transition him to back up PG then have Baxter move off the ball.

I definitely read that as watts is no longer going to red shirt. I really don't see how that article could be taken any other way.

Watts isn't redshirting anymore; they are going to phase him into the rotation. . I think Lavender can be extremely good as the season goes on.

Lavender could the PD3/ Chad Frazier type of pg come conference tourney time. Lavender and J. Williams couldve been the better backcourt anyway.

Yes. You don't get the grading he did then completely fall off the map for months for no reason. There's likely a reason he has fallen in to our laps.

Probably has to do with Ehsan being a good recruiter.

Might have been a silent commit or a fall back option.
I personally like the kids tape. I think he could be a good point guard.
