Great article, but it begs a question that isn't raised . . . .

When a major newspaper abandons reporting the news and focuses on 'creating the narrative' . . . sometimes planned our for the year . . . . .

are they still a newspaper, or have they become a propaganda machine?

(even if the propaganda is dictated by an editorial board and not an outside agency - - which begs the question of who is influencing the editorial board the most?)

Ahhhh, it wasn't the NYTimes calling itself out in that manner.

Good article on a similar topic, IMO. I watched the PBS coverage and Brooks kept repeating this line of thinking as Trump kept pushing forward and I found it pretty compelling.
