I understand what you're saying but what I heard pretty quickly in, is that same low self-esteem that prevents us from realizing potentials. The power of one word, "yet." Remove it and the song changes to a much more powerful anthem.

They played that on the WTOL newscast this evening. There should have been a shot of the scoreboard when we played at The Big House in '08. Maybe the Arkansas scoreboard, too.
