I would have thought a franchise agreement could have been worked out like the Pat James family did with the Maloofs over the "Full Moon BBQ" store or the Caddell family did for Jack's and later the Hamburger Heaven stores.

It could have been, but, who exactly would want to buy a Fat Sams franchise? I mean, I loved the place, loved eating there, but, it wasn't the next Full Moon. Sometimes good things come to an end.
