Nice. They were showing a chance of rain. Glad that's gone.

Speaking of rain, here's hoping Matthew veers far to the east.
When is game time? Haven't been to a game yet this year. Ended up with walking pneumonia, so I'm glad I didn't go to the Fresno State game and end up with it being much worse.

nevermind - just saw it was 3pm at Rynearson for homecoming. wow, stands should be packed for this one. May have to overflow to the EMU side if we fill up the visitor's side.
would be nice to finally see a big crowd at EMU, plus a nice crowd brought by UT.

Not happening(Matthew), 11:00 am update has it strengthening going to be Category 4 when it comes this way and moving faster 12 mph. Was moving N-NW, now NW. Massive storm-totally sucks! Can't forget the tornados with
the rain bands. Barrier islands are going to have problems with the storm surge 3-5 ft + tide. Haiti really got it. People were still living in tents from the earthquake.

Are you kidding? EMU will be lucky to have 15,000 in the stands

Stay safe, Boca Rocket. Prayers for all of the folks living on the southeast coast of the country.

Thanks, I think we're going to need it. 5 am update has it moving more to the west with increasing force. Palm Beach County is going to get slammed, but Martin and Indian River Countries are going to be worse.
It will hit there probably a strong Category 4 with between a 6-9 foot storm surge. After tonight I'm expecting to lose electrical power and be off the board for a few days. Go RRRpckets against EMU.

We'll pray for you (I have relatives, probably much safer, up in Jacksonville; I think they'll see Cat 2, not 4.).

And pray for a good game Saturday. This is a pivotal time for EMU FB.
Everyone going to the game should bring a can of green spray paint for those of us watching on TV. That field is HORRIBLE on TV

Batten down the hatches, literally and figuratively and best of luck. Hope everyone is on higher ground because storm surge is usually the largest threat to life from a hurricane and 6-9 feet is major bad news.
If memory serves the Hurricanes impact weather all over. Be leery of these forecasts up here cause the impacts of Matthew will impact other places as well

It's going to rain touchdowns all over EMU.
OK here in South Palm Beach County. An October Saturday weather in Ypsilanti couldn't be nicer. Go Rockets!!!
Thanks for reporting in! Was wondering about you and other Rocket fans on the Atlantic side. Sounds like GA and SC are concerns. Hope the thing continues to stay out in the ocean.
Again Perfect Fall FB Weather:

58-62 degrees
Mostly Sunny
Wind:12-13 moh

Very true on tv it looks kind of odd. I like it in person though
I like the field too, although with that track running around the perimeter it looks really bad in both tv & in person, especially when the seats are primarily empty. My main critique with EMU though, (aside from their ridiculously pre-emptive decision to change their nickname from something very unique to the most ubiquitous nickname they could possibly come up with), is what they've done to our strength of schedule over the past 20 years. 4-1 this year though, and while they haven't really beaten anyone notable, there haven't been too many seasons in which there were 4 teams in the FBS or FCS that they were capable of beating. They're trending in the right direction. Although I'm at the tailgate and it's very obvious that there are a lot of EMU supporters that have NEVER done this before.
