I know Rockets fans don't travel well, I wonder how many will be in attendance for this Saturday game? Anyone want to guess. I am planning to come up from Springboro, OH for the game.

No one could tell you were else to go to park, then they allow 50 people to cross the road - about 4 at a time while you wait, and wait, and wait..... Then when you get to a place to park, on the Northeast side of the stadium - guess what, you get to walk all the way around the entire stadium to get to an entrance point. Then when the game is over, you start out about 100 yards from where your car is parked (I'm not making this up) and have to walk just under 1/2 mile to get to your car. And the exit point from the stadium where you would only have to go 100 yards - (ok maybe 150 yards) to get to your car if they just decided to open the gate...you discover it must be a border crossing from Mexico because there are 7 (yes 7) armed police and security there to protect it. But if you walk another 100 yards West - you can go into the basketball arena, then walk back 100 yards to the East, exit the arena, walk another 50 yards East - and voila - you end up on the other side of the fence from those same 7 armed guards. Where you could have been if they just opened the freaking gate.
Seriously - I have never saw such incompetence in planning an event for the flow of traffic.
But at least the playlist and the sound system was top notch....and the PA guy - wow. I'll be hearing that annoying voice in my sleep tonight. But I did like the outcome - and still hate that ugly gray field.

Bought a ticket for $8 from seekgeek, section 105, row K. How many are going in your party?

When I finally got into the stadium and looked across to the home side, I turned to my dad and said, "all that parking mess, for that?" As I looked across at maybe 4k fans. From memory BG does the same thing as traffic backs up onto I75. One dude taking money at one gate as you are herded past 10 potential gates into their parking lots.(10-08-2016 10:30 PM)MotoRocket Wrote: [ -> ]Did the folks at EMU know they were having a game today? You have to cut these folks a little slack----up until this year the current bunch had ZERO experience dealing with "crowds" of this magnitude. One nice touch I liked was that most of the event staff we walked past getting to our seats thanked us for attending.
They will learn as time goes on....they have already discovered that they can actually charge for parking and and charge a bit more for tickets and concessions....its a start
