Marquis Moore back to first team. No sign of Earl Moore who limped off the field last Saturday. He was having a good year. Anyone know about him? Jones is on the chart. Perhaps our local news can do some digging.
DJM is listed third at RB. Did he recover from his injury in the Fresno State game?

I don't think we'll be seeing Earl Moore the rest of the season, unfortunately. It was so sweet having him and Hester on the d-line. He came to Toledo as a grad transfer and worked his way into the starting lineup...just really, really unfortunate news.

What news?
I thought Candle originally said Moore was not seriously injured. Has there been a new development?

He was in a boot in street clothes the past two games. Not looking good, imo.
What about WR Dionate Johnson? It'd be nice to be able to use him in our offense and ST. How serious was his injury?

Am confused, Earl Moore played most of the Maine game before getting injured, so wasn't in street clothes then.

Believe I saw him on the sidelines in the video feed of the Fresno game wearing his jersey but no pads, but couldn't tell if he was in a boot or not. Could have been.

I think this is all we really know:

Brian Buckey ‏@BrianBuckey Aug 29
Candle says @ToledoFB WR Diontae Johnson is in walking boot and will miss an extended period.

Not to say the we don't need him, but (so far) receiving has been good enough that if he took an injury waiver it might not be the end of the world. Seniors are Jones, Roberts, Yousey, and Montgomery.
Does swim team call it "depth" chart? Seems like that would be bad-luck. Just a question that came to a tired mind.

If they have one, I hope it's not called the "Too Deep".

... plus avoid the typo Depth Charge instead of Depth Chart
Earl Moore sat out Fresno game, I did not see him on sideline, was too far away though. He was injured in Maine game. He moves the LOS. He is one of those guys like Miligan last year that is quietly important. We will need him vs BYU. The young kid from Rossford will be a dandy but to fill in behind Marquise and Treyvone would be asking too much against 23/24 yr old O lineman.
Funny stuff!

I sure hope we get Earl back soon.
I notice that Frye, the grad transfer from VaTech is no longer listed on the roster, and his bio page is gone from the Rockets website.

Game notes for BYU said that Earl Moore is done for the year.

As in "forever", correct? IIRC, this would have been his only year, unless he can somehow pull an injury RS exception.

Big loss that will be felt come November. Time for one of the young pups to grow up quickly to fill the void in depth there.
