Quote:The Irish back said he told UT coach Jason Candle of his decision Saturday night. Warren said his final three schools were UT, Iowa State and Rutgers.

So sorry Matt...
That's awesome news! I hope we hold onto him now! Looking forward to seeing him be the next in what is becoming a history of great running backs at UT!
Wow! Just got to my hotel in NYC and thus us the 1st thing I see on here...awesome news!
awesome news, UT is recruiting well right now. Here's to staying healthy 04-cheers
So pumped right now about this. Been hoping for a big local running back or quarterback commit. Finally got one. Now he just needs to live up to the hype. He could see playing time immediately as Swanson's backup.
Next big three, Swanson, Thompkins, Warren. I'll take that backfield.

+1
Nice to keep the stable loaded with some local talent!
Thompkins looked good Saturday night. I would like to get a look at McCrimmon as well.
Huge commit from a local kid. Hope he keeps his commitment and its great more local kids are staying home!! 04-cheers
They are picking the Rockets because they see what we see, a program on the rise. No reason we can't be the powerhouse from the G5. Announcers on ESPN kept commenting on how much speed and athleticism Toledo has across the board. Now let's keep things rolling against Fresno.
Big get. Let's hope this encourages a couple big time OLs to commit, so they can block for him.
Awesome news! This is big-time talent committing to the Rockets. Now, let's just pray he stays committed all the way through. If you haven't had the chance to see him in action, definitely get out to one of Central Catholic's games this year or watch BCSN. They play Whitmer in 2 weeks, that will be a great game.
Not too late to sway a Kentucky recruit or two. They're not in conference so, fair game.
Impressive highlight video but I was thinking the only thing Michael Warren did was run for touchdowns. Then I saw a great kick out block enabling another running back to pick up good yardage. Then he completed a pass. Then he caught a pass. And then he scored from the wildcat position.

My oh my!
I would expect him to stay committed. He backed out of the Kentucky commit, still had a bunch of good offers and took a second look at UT and decided to stay home. The kids we lose are typically guys who like UT commit early but then get bigger offers and reconsider with the allure of brighter lights flashing around them. If a kid decides to change his mind from an SEC school to UT, it would be weird for him to change his mind, imo.
