Should we be saying FU to Watts since he might actually like it? Any suggestions for an adequate substitute?

Is there some new reason we're saying this to Pumpkin Head, outside of his general ineptitude and narcissism (a deadly combination)?
Plenty of reasons.
Every Saturday we aren't playing is a fresh wound. Seeing former Blazers play key parts in wins over two SEC schools created fresh wounds. The crappy AD he forced upon us continues to do everything in his power to chase Clark away, a wound thats festering below the surface.

Is that anything along the lines that the definition of a sadist is one who is nice to a masochist?
Between Watts being the BOT toady AND the puppeteer of Ingram's continued undermining, I'm not sure I want to be in the same zip code with either of them.
He's had (& continues) a purposeful plan to replace any Dean or administrator with any ties to Gene Bartow.
He has run off a number of good people. Others have taken jobs elsewhere. I wish we had leverage to run him off, but no one ever came up with anything. It is my fond hope that the investigation of the Luv Guv's Dark Money PAC runs to the BoT and that he is somehow tied to it.

There are not many people in this world that I actively ill-wish, but he's right at the top of the list.
That's our only hope BandDad: That the State is forced to somehow disband the BOT and create a Board of Regents system that breaks UAB/UAH governance away from Tuscaloosa.

Not totally. FRW turns 63 in December. We can make him even more eager to retire to his luxury Park Slope lodgings where Ravi the housekeeper has a nice hot mug of cocoa waiting for him.

We know that FRW hates the FRW chant. It has to return.

We know that FRW receives executive summaries of what is said about him on social media, including this site. These need to return to the extremely unpleasant tenor of early 2015.

We know that FRW continues to commit blunders of epic mismanagement. We need to report these here and elsewhere, because we know that other media outlets feed off this site and our hashtags for story ideas.

And then at some point, FRW will retire and a search will open for a new president. And we will jump all over that to demand transparency and the proper functioning of democratic oversight and shared governance - no more filthy backroom deals with the satanic cabal as in the Phelps-for-football-building swap. This time, we will not be silenced.

Fire Ray Watts. And Free UAB.
I'm in!

We have been really nice at the request of coach. They are really close to making me encourage breaking that request. Ingram is right behind Watts. That Scarbinsky article a while back is the tip of the iceberg. I'm not blowing smoke either.
Right now, the various UAB coaches have reason to plead for forbearance towards the administration while long delayed facilities are finally becoming reality. The president meanwhile, has been reduced in effectiveness by the various no confidence votes that have never been rescinded.

It remains a fact that the only body that can remove him is the body that hired him - likely expressly to do what he did to UAB football. The person they choose to replace him (whenever that becomes possible) will indicate the extent to which the BOT has changed in the post Bryant,Jr, Joe Fine, Espy, etc. era.

Will they see and support the state's need for the full range of strong UAB programs, or will they continue to see UAB only in terms of a threat to their "Crimson Fiefdom"? They would not be the first political body in Alabama to do harm to this state to protect themselves and their powers from compromise.
Damn it, Ray. Just collect your damn golden parachute and go away.

We can name a urinal in the new OPS building after you.

What an incredible irony it would be if the UA System named the new OPS building for Dr Ray Watts (citing his reinstatement of the program).

That would be a violation of the current board rules. They only name things after people who donate a certain percentage of money towards the building

And as we all know well, the BOT ALWAYS follows the rules. Right?
