Quote:** The following signees won't be playing for the Blazers: linebacker Clifton Garrett, receiver Elliott Davis and receiver Marquis Wimberly.

Wish we could get back a lot of those official visits. Most of those guys were Low risk, high reward. Plenty of time to fill the roster.

Of course they were. We had a unique situation and took chances. No harm at this point. As much fun as it was to think that all these guys wanted to be a part of the comeback, it was probably more of a last resort for many. Clark will put things together by the time we take the field again.
Think we'll have one scholarship RB on the roster tomorrow. Kalin Heath, think he arrived in time for summer workouts.
The defense has decent depth except LB.

The Offense has arms and a good line with few guys at the skill postions.

There's enough for a two deep and the rest 2017 class with take care of.
If you saw his attitude towards academics in the show he was featured in you can't be shocked he's not on campus yet

He has one class to finish. Let's hope for the best.
I hope DJ Law never suits up for UAB. After watching him on that show I have no desire for him to ever step foot in a field as a representative of UAB. Sorry, but the pride in my alma mater is stronger than my need to win football games with a bunch of punks.

You never know how a player will respond under different leadership. If he gets here, and does not try, he will not be here very long. I'm just hoping for the the best.

I think we have sent a couple of players packing over the past year...

You would be disappointed in a lot of former Blazers that you know and love. Plus, he served a difficult sentence for his shortcomings by having to go to a junior college in the first place. If he can get his act together, he could thrive and become a great Blazer. If not, he won't make it.

I'd advise not writing a guy off based on some episodes of a show that has every interest in editing the footage to paint a certain picture in creating their story line.

If DJ can work things out, I'll welcome him.

If someone filmed me everyday for an entire semester when I was 19 years old, they could probably paint a pretty bad picture of me as well. And I didn't have academic trouble (although I DID go to a junior college in Mississippi, so I know what he lived with).

If DJ's character is solid, I'm all for him attending. He sounds a lot like me my first two years at UAB. I literally didn't study EVER, and barely made it to my junior year. It was then that I found my motivation to study, my gf who graduated with a 4.0.

You think a guy just like him never graduated from UAB because he was good at football? Happens all the time.
Some of what you see you have to take w/ a grain of salt as it's made for reality TV & just people playing it up for the cameras. Maybe he is as portrayed but maybe not
It's not how you start, it is how you finish.

If you come out of this & know how to act like a real man, all is well.
I watched Last Chance U. I wouldn't call DJ Law a punk. Not the smartest guy in the room? Maybe. Academically lazy? Sure. That said, he seemed to get his **** together when it came right down to it.

I saw guys I'd call punks on that show. Law wasn't one of them.

Punk? Maybe......... The AU qb?
That guy needs a bit of an attitude adjustment

He made up 18 quizzes at the end of the semester on the last episode. 18!!! You think if he was just a regular student he'd have that opportunity? I'm sorry, but if someone needs their hand held that much and babied like he and many other guys in that show are then they're not ready for a 4 year university.

I've had several friends down here say the exact same thing. Lots of my Auburn friends are less than pleased with his character.
