Steve & Barry's wouldn't have carried that thing. It reeks of early 90s hat store "collegiate licensed" stock stuff.

For the ODU folk who have UVA family and friends, I dropped off a load of stuff at the Union Mission Thrift Store and noticed they had a large inventory of UVA new with tags travel bags, bookbags, and suitcases. I think the lady told me everything was 50% off today. The address is: 5100 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502

I couldn't find the post on here of the ODU travel gear but it looks to be the same quality.

I couldn't find the post on here of the ODU travel gear but it looks to be the same quality.

Somebody posted on here a while back about an online store that was selling ODU backpacks and suitcases for insanely cheap prices. They had other schools also. Maybe they went out of business and gave their remaining stock to the Union Mission.

I haven’t used it a ton, but I like the backpack I got. Holding up fine after three overnight trips

I've used the suitcases a bunch for travel and haven't had any issues.

I got the suitcase, and although it's only sat in my trunk for a few road trips to see the folks, it seems like it's held up well enough. At least as well as my other luggage has.

Oh, I’m sure, but when you have a 3, 5, and 12 year old even the highest quality isn’t going to last anyway. If I’m going to buy 3 backpacks every year, might as well get cheap ODU ones. Made the mistake of buying my oldest a LL Bean with the leather bottom and it was left outside, had spoiled food in it for lord knows how long and multiple pen explosions.

This is something I’ve been hoping ODU would do for years.

I figured we would have seen the devils backbone odu beer by now. My friend asked me for name ideas and such like it was happening. Wonder if they bailed or ran into a hurtle.

FYI: Norfolk Costco currently has gear for men and women.

Looks like ODU Online is being re-branded as ODU Global with a new logo to separate them from ODU, much like Penn State and University of Maryland have done with their online programs.
