AD Mark Ingram has taken a LOT of heat on this board since before he was introduced for the job. However....

In the past few weeks he has:

Announced $500,000 donations for the Football Ops Bldg from 2 major corporations

Hired "the people's choice" for new basketball coach while getting UAB's name into the national sports news with some due diligence interviews

Announced the resumption of a basketball series with longtime rival Memphis

Announced a football game with Texas A&M

also during basketball season, he listened to complaints about concessions and made major improvements

What do you think of Ingram's performance now?
Give him all the credit and say he is great. Heap many praises on him. Best AD we have ever had.

I just hope no one hires him away.
did you forget your blue font?
He's doing his job. Want a cookie?

I gave the man points when he personally called me back to discuss my contribution questions. With that said, I don't blame anyone for initial mistrust or suspicions during the time he was hired. I think he knows how people feel about this program now and he's taking some public strides to show he's serious about his job.

Sounds like he is an excellent announcer. I wonder, other than the basketball hire, what he really was the major player in?

To answer your question... I like him just a tad bit more than before the search, but I wasn't one of the ones thinking he was incapable of making the hire.
I think he and his staff handled the month of March beautifully. A lot of momentum killing things happened (basketball/ fan support wise).

We screwed ourselves at the conference tournament that we hosted.

We embarrassed ourselves in Provo

Haase left for Stanford.

It's April 14th and I dare say we haven't lost any ground. In fact, fan support has likely increased when many rallied for Ehsan.

Beyond basketball the recent corporate donations are HUGE and TIMELY. It's possible these contributions have been set up for a while and the athletic department is waiting to announce them through out the summer to keep football in the spot light. That's just my guess though.
Now that he's on his way,
Do you still think he's crazy
Standing here today?
He couldn't make you love him
But he always dreamed about living in your radio
How do you like him now?

Don't ever change. 03-lmfao
I still think he has a ways to go before he turns the ship.

Gonna be hard to overcome the rep up until this point.
To gain support from some around here, he needs to start rescuing babies from burning buildings. But then some would say he was just doing it for the publicity.
Many around here will never be happy with him unless he personally pushes Ray Watts in front of a MAX bus.
I'm cool with him.

I had the mindset of it'd be kind of difficult for a single guy to actually mess up the progression we're seeing, but that wasn't being fair. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still learning on the job, and I'm confident he's dealing with a lot of stuff that the public will never see. Being able to handle the process of securing a head coach so smoothly made him look like a veteran, and we're primed to be better overall athletically than we ever were before. That's not all him, but he does deserve some credit.

I definitely feel better about him than I did before, and, even then, I was indifferent as opposed to outright disliking him or such.

I don't see too many people not supporting him, even those who don't like him are supporting him. The early criticisms were justified, but he was new and learning the ropes, and in some areas he probably still is. I think he probably had an impression of some things that were more complex that he thought. We have many sore spots in our program, and he didn't know how his early comments would rub those.
He came into a situation that literally no AD had ever faced in the history of college athletics. The simple fact we're standing where we are today is a big deal & he deserves a share of the credit.

03-lmfao IJK....
I'm beginning to warm up to him. He was put into a no-win situation, especially being he wasn't one of the first or preferred choices. I believe his lack of ability to speak genuinely at the time hurt him a little. It almost feels like he is getting a longer leash, with all the public appearances, etc lately.

Ingram has had a good month. We'll see if he can improve on it.
I still don t like him because I dont trust him and he is Ray watts boy
Ray watt association is like getting ebola ,,,
a lot of people die for it but some survive but you still dont want to get close to the survivor
Don't take the MB bait. Ingram is doing a great job.
Sure would hate to lose him to someone else.
