Same guy that tweeted he was "shocked UAB isn't poaching ETSU's Steve Forbes or Wichita State's Greg Heiar - both are winners and built for C-USA" (Park Bench Hoops has 30 followers)
He also said it was likely that UAB was hiring internally all along since they did not hire a search firm. I agree with that.
As a twitter novice, it seems to me that when it's real, it usually starts out with a no-name tweet here or there, and then comes the avalanche.
Let's hope it's true. I think Ehsan is solid hire. I'm ready for the temporary insanity to end, even if it *is* only until the first time we lose back to back games.
That tweet has since been deleted, apparently.

I still see it on there.
Really? I don't. Weird.
Still up for me, about five messages down.
This is the one I see:

Quote:UAB's decision to hire w/o search firm betters chances of Blazers hiring internally. Expect @UABBlazerNation to announce soon. #cusa

I do not see the one MB quoted (although I've seen it retweeted).
Guy only has 119 tweets and 29 followers. I wouldn't apply much credibility to him...

Original tweet is gone. Most recent UAB tweet is from 17hrs ago:

Person & Terry out at UAB. Ehsan the leader, Lavin gaining? 2 more names emerge. Announcement within 24h More soon - http://HoopDirt.com
Hoopdirt has over 22,000 followers, so somehow that has more credibility.
I don't see where anyone said the second had any more or any less credibility. Hoopdirt has been around for almost 8 years without being put out of business by lawsuit...so there's that.
Would there be an issue if an announcement wasn't made within 24 hours?

HoopDirt- Daily Dirt: Sunday Night Dirt – 4/3/16
UAB: I’m hearing this will be wrapped up soon. I can confirm that Auburn assistant Chuck Person is no longer a candidate. I’ve heard that current assistant coach/interim head coach Rob Ehsan is the leader, but former UCLA and St. John’s head coach Steve Lavin is making a late charge. I’ve also heard that a sleeper is North Florida head coach Matt Driscoll. Finally, there is a current MAC head coach in the hunt – a long shot, but definitely in the mix. More here soon – heard the announcement could come as early as tomorrow.

I don't see where I said that someone said that. I did see where someone said the other person only had 29 followers so we shouldn't apply much credibility to him. So there's that too.
Maybe if we hire the MAC coach he could arrange some games with some of the MAC schools.

(just using same logic some have used on Lavin & others)
My uneducated guess is the MAC coach is John Cooper, Miami Ohio Head coach and former Auburn Assistant.
