Not very surprising news. This opens up one scholarship for this season: Maybe another JUCO player? Good luck to Chandler in his future endeavors!

I would bet on a transfer Coach K rings in 1 most years. They won't likely have enough playing time for juco.
What do these transfers do to our GPA? Isn't this how we got into problems before?

As long as the players transferring are in good academic standing, there will be no issue. The problem before was that several of the players who left were not in good academic standing, hence the APR penalties (postseason ban, reduced practice time etc.)

They do nothing to the APR as long as they are eligible to play when they transfer.

That depends on the quality of the JUCO (or the freshman for that matter). I would say that the Rockets have plenty of playing time to give out to the right player.
The posting about Spike Albrecht transferring brought back memories of his brother. He lasted all of 1 semester under coach Gene XXXXX whose name cannot be mentioned.
So much for my desire to have IPFW added to the schedule. Was hoping to see the Rockets in the Summit City
This was bound to happen with such a large class and an uneven roster in terms of classes. There's still only one junior next year (Stuckey gone, but the JUCO guard in), but next year's freshmen (Knapke, Gordon, Roberts) and sophomores (Sanford, Navigato, Rogers, Adway) will be back to normal numbers with White's spot still to be filled with either another JUCO or an incoming freshman.
Too bad, and best of luck to Chandler. Sounds like the coach knows what he needs.

Sounds like he didn't want to wait his turn. He was a shark in the pond back in Ft. Wayne, but ran into bigger sharks when he got to Toledo in the lake.....

Just wonder what type of ball player he could have been at UT in his soph season? Oh well we will never know now.

Based on watching alot of warmups this season, I don't think White was ever going to get a turn
He seemed to understand that he had deficiencies.
being a 6-2 power guard at the small college level can be a lot of fun. being a 6-2 power guard at a legit college level means although you can't shoot you're a helluva defender, mean and strong.

I didn't get from that article that they were implying the "mistakes" were his. Comments seem veiled.

Talking about the last sentence. I get the idea he didn't think the program was a good fit but he's acknowledging three areas where his game needs to improve. And certainly ball handling and D I can agree on from the limited opportunity I had to see him. He was one of our quicker players so that will help him down the road.

Not sure Toledo is a bigger pond. Carrol is in a very competitive league

Good program

Toledo better than IPFW but....
