Beating Creighton 86-79 with 15 seconds to go. Valpo has already advanced to NYC
After I saw how our game went I was pretty sure they were heading to NYC.
They wanted it, and they weren't planning on losing at home.
So it is safe to say that UAB ran into one of the two toughest and most difficult teams to beat in the NIT...in the first round, and lost on their home court.
It was a combination of they were damn good. (Should have been in the NCAAs) and we had WKU hangover for the first part of the game and when we woke up it was too deep a hole. Their heads were not in it.
take nothing away from BYU, they most likely beat us had we been on our game. The WCC is a damn good conference IMHO.
Does that qualify our game with BYU as a "moral victory"?
There are no moral victories.
Moral victories are found in the loss column.
I think that BYU should really be in a power conference, given the quality of their programs.
Then perhaps it is an immoral victory? Sort of like the one Gov. Bentley is experiencing right now.
