He seems like a very high level pick! No offense to the other candidates including the candidate from NIU who I think had very weak resume compared to this gentleman.

Probably a good move with the engineering background as Nagi is probably going to become a President at some university at some point. I think he is a finalist for NDSU?

Nagi was a semifinalist but did not get the job.

Nagi was a semifinalist but did not get the job.

That's not the only position for which he's applied. He'd clearly looking to change his career direction, get out of town. Easier to think of him as gone until he says otherwise. New guy out of Aerospace Engineering interesting as UT doesn't have that field (or do they?). I'd might have hoped for someone that could help the University with Bio-Eng connections but we'll see what the guy has got.

I was told that three of the four candidates dropped out weeks ago, leaving only Dr. Hsu. Hope he's successful.
