With the right CUSA tournament match ups UAB could drop down to the 60-65 range. That will put us in the conversation for a 13 seed.
We need some of these teams to lose in front of us, but I would also like to see upsets in the tournament from mid majors
That's pur best shot at a 13. For there to be s lot of upsets in one bid conference tournaments and we get pushed up.

Don't think we get a 12 because they usually go to the last at larges

I think the last 4 at larges can be 11 or 12 playing the play in games
What else do Princeton & Little Rock have to do to get a good seed ? They have played to the best of their ability against their RPI driven schedule. A 31 RPI, with SMU & Louisville ineligible, should be an 8 or 9 seed. A 35 RPI should also be an 8 or 9 seed.

College Athletics has become the opposite of fair play.
A bunch of the top lower mid-major teams lost yesterday. North Florida, Bucknell, Little Rock, Texas Southern, Hampton and Weber State are all the #1 team in their conferences and all lost.
What implications does that have for us??
Wait, Mike Davis was a top seed and lost in a conference tournament??? How unlike him.

Lot of those were projected 15-16 seeds. I still think Little Rock is ahead of us despite the loss. It's ridiculous that loss basically killed their bubble chances but somehow Bama and LSU still have a glimmer of hope.

Their non conference schedule is 267. Their big wins are San Diego state and tulsa(more than we can say). They just lost to a team that is 8-22. The system may not be perfect, but if you start letting teams in with those credentials we will never see an at large mid major again.

I'm not necessarily saying they should be in but Bama can finish no better than .500 in league play and they'd still get in over UALR. LSU has like 6 losses to sub 100 teams and didn't beat anyone OOC and they'd still get in over UALR. That's what I consider BS.

Lsu isn't even on the bubble really. their rpi is 87 and sos 77. That doesn't really cut it. Plus the non conference was awful. Having said all that, they beat Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Texas a&m. 6 bad losses do offset that a bit though. I'm not so sure if we went down the list that far that they would get in over Arkansas little rock. Alabama has much more substance to their resume. Their sos is 38. They have three top 50 wins and 3 more 51-100. They do have some bad losses, but looking at a blind resume they are the epitome of what the selection committee wants to see from a bubble team. I think they have played their way onto the wrong side of the bubble, but they have a resume that ualr only beats in sheer number of wins.
LSU beat Oklahoma in non conference play fwiw. And if they beat UK @ Rupp tonight or Saturday (not sure when the game is ) they will be in, as long as they win 1 game in SEC tourny.

You're right my mistake. For some reason I was thinking LSU won. I thought wrong.
Akron leading Kent State by 3 at the half. An Akron loss should help, no?
