So, why are we still calling them JERX? They have done nothing but talk good about us. Seriously, they really want to see us succeed

Agreed. They've been great this year.

Habit.

I agree they've been pretty good of late, and the two guys in the evening are the least offensive, but they've yukked it up at our expense for a long time, and they're going to have to do a little more ass-kissing before I forget all that.

There is not enough ass-kissing in the world for that to happen.

I agree, Jox has been much better this year. The opening drive has Coach Clark and Coach Haase on every single week. Can't think of any other time both of our major head coaches have had standing weekly interviews on Jox.

Plus they are giving me personally a lot of opportunities as of late. It is kind of my dream job to get a show there

Now, if al.com would give UAB their own sports page...

Ah, I remember when I was young.

I still have an email from one of their program directors telling me that JERKs doesn't need UAB fans.

Things are better but there are some deep wounds. As Clark wants us to do we are trying to move forward but many of us that have been in the trenches will remain vigilant.

These two post sum it up. You have younger Blazers or those new to this whole history AND those who've been burned in the past.
I understand they've been nice to you and now you have employee loyalty but there are some of us who have longer years of snide remarks when we called in or contacted the station in the past with present on air personalities.

I admit it's become friendlier but excuse me if I don't let my guard down.

One of these dudes that hosts the weekend show on Jox said if we continue to invest in football and keep making NCAA appearances the ACC may come callng. Perhaps we are setting our sights too low when it comes to conference realignment....ha!

I dont like the guys on the weekend show.
