Inspired by the Elon #2 thread, but posted here in Coventry to maintain a safe space down there.
Please be aware that I am a member of the "negative posts on in-game threads are OK" camp, and the following song reflects that viewpoint. If you believe you may possibly be offended, read no further.
To the tune of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
My name is Pollyanna, I know nothing’s ever wrong.
All fans should be like me, that’s why I’m teaching you my song.
I never worry even if we’re down by 22.
Our effort’s always perfect, and our shot selection, too.
Oh, SuperFans should wait to post until the game is over,
When the Tribe has pulled it out, and we are all in clover.
If you post a bad thought you’ll feel stupid that you did,–
When we’ve run the table and we get an at-large bid.
In-game threads should be an exercise in hopeful wishin’,
Not a place for awful vibes like you guys have been dishin’.
If Tanner S. hits open threes, well that is just bad luck –
Not ‘cause our defense had holes through which you could drive a truck.
Oh, SuperFans should only speak of rainbows and of daisies.
We’re the Tribe, we shouldn’t act like Cameron-ish Crazies.
If you post that lately you have noticed some regression,
Then you’re guilty of inflicting a microaggression.
It’s not just you – Coach Wollum will be hearing soon from me.
I heard him say, “The team needs to up its intensity.”
And Colley dared to say that one of Prewitt’s shots was “tough” –
Why do they let them on the air to say this hateful stuff???
Oh, SuperFans should wait to post until the game is finished,
Then your chance of looking bad is really quite diminished.
During games sit silently and wait – good things may happen.
(This creates the kind of atmosphere I like at Kaplan).
