When in April is the late signing date? Does it matter for UAB?
Are we even trying to recruit Mountain Brook player, Watford...he appears to be a top five player in his class.
There is no signing date in basketball. There is a signing period, which starts 2nd Wednesday I think.
Are we not recruiting Trendon Watford?

Doubt it. I'm pretty sure we're full and I don't see anyone leaving other than RB's graduation...
I think it is a 2 week period for late signing.

Probably will not matter that much.

I think about all of our slots are filled.

Have to run down the roster again, but we have 2 coming in with 1 senior leaving & 1 more open spot I think.

I think Haase & Ehsan are in 2017 & beyond mode.

He is only a freshman or sophomore.

He will end up wherever paid for Mountain Brook players end up.

I'm pretty sure we are. However, when his brother was being recruited his dad made no bones about wanting his son to play for a major BB power outside of the state of Alabama. He ended up at Indiana...

That would be April 13. Actually, all major sports have a signing period, but in football there is so much media attention on the first day, the period running through March gets lost.

I think i remember it that way, or he didnt want his son to play for Davis.

This thread is funny, Haase is done with 2016 unless someone leaves. Its 2017 (5 scholarships to replace) and 2018 (4 scholarships to replace) and he's not offered any jucos. I definitely want to see how he handles the PG situation.

He has time to figure it out. Norton is looking like he will be a 30-35 minute guy his senior year. We are still 2 full basketball seasons away from losing him. It's hard to recruit guys to sit for two years.

For most of their recent recruited players this destination has either been a community college basketball program or nowhere at all. Those players have had some trouble qualifying out of high school. I would expect Watford to buck that trend
Earnest and Christian Watford were frequently seen at UAB games when Davis was here.
My understanding is that they liked Davis a lot and considered UAB, but they had other options. As I understood it,the decision
was nothing against Davis or UAB but what was the best stable environment for Christian.
UAB needs to recruit the best players available that fits the coaches plans for the team.

The Kline kid got a scholarship somewhere. I would guess he was Jackie Kline's son.

Norton should be a 30-35 min guy this year and his last two as he is the only true point guard there's a reason the ball moves better with him. Its not hard as some think to sit. We wouldnt know because its been a while we've had two true PG's. Avery and Bruce got three points on campus or commited.

Wait. I thought Norton sucked? Isn't Watts better?

Wait. I dont know when i said that, Watts is a better defender tho.
