I attended the Buc Bash tonight with my wife for the first time and I have to say, this was a great event. I highly recommend it to anyone who can attend next year's event. $50 per person is really inexpensive for the amount of food, adult beverages and just all around fun. All of the coaches and admin staff were there and very approachable. I won a few silent auction items/packages which I probably paid too much for, but hey, it's a great cause right?
Glad it turned out well. I've heard good things about the event and would liked to have attended but after the game I wasn't much in the mood
They always do a nice job putting this event on. Hopefully they can grow it into something they do in other cities as the program starts to grow and ETSU cultivates relationships with lost alumni.
Doubt if they could put on an event of such magnitude at other cities.
Wonder how much they raised? Any ideas?
They were $15,000 away from $100k at the end of the auctions. I'd guess they reached $100k.
I wanted to go this year, but it seems like we have commitments every year when they host it.

Wow, I'd call that a pretty big success. Not too shabby for a mid-major.

You can do anything you set your mind to.
If you can tell them how to go to other cities and arrange a silent and live auction, hire food vendors, rent a facility, decorate the facility, have all he athletic department personnel attend, all the available coaches attend, most of the administration attend ( including the President and the first lady, have the city and county and state officials attend, have a volunteer group of approx. 20 people plus athletic personnel go to area businesses and procure a hundred auction items, sell 400 tickets.

It took approx three months to prepare for the 'Bash'.

Please send your idea of how you would organize a 'Bash' in other cities to the Athletic Dept. of ETSU. Since all you have to do is set your mind to it, you must already have all the answers.
