Willis needs one more but will have to beat #1 Southland seed Steven F. Austin for Willis' first dancin' trip.

SFA crushed HBU earlier in the day 104-68.
Well, unfortunately, Coach Wilson and the team couldn't beat a strong SFA squad for the auto bid to the NCAAs this season. SFA went to their 3rd straight Southland conference title beating the Islanders 82-60 in the Southland tournament championship game. Still, a very nice season for Willis and the players.

TAMCC sits at 25-7 for the season, which ain't too shabby either. They will be going to the CIT tournament, where Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders will tip-off at UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Not sure what he has coming back for next season. Maybe Wilson can finally get himself to the Dance as a head coach next year. (he was an assistant at Stanford and a Memphis, so he's been before.) Good luck in the CIT and next season!

Wow. I didn't expect TAMCC to go out like that. Sometimes it happens. Still a pretty good year for Coach Wilson and his team.
