Dear emu79,
Thanks for the information. Also good to see more Michigan athletes being recruited, but I still hope Eastern gets the best players possible, whether from Michigan or not.

Ken, that is a good sign. You need a strong base and then you can move outward. If CMU and WMU constantly get the best players in the state, you will never compete.

Let's get our (Eastern) Michigan Men. It's about time we get a little bit arrogant. We must own the state!

Agree, and I'm thinking on signing day in football we want to hear kids from say 4 or 5 or 6 schools in Wayne County or Washtenaw County telling their friends that they are going to Eastern.

We need to build a strong 'presence' in S.E. Michigan.

We are almost a total non-factor now.

Not happening until Fleck leaves, and until we get our own version of Fleck.
@TheD_Zone: Ann Arbor Skyline 2017 LB/RB TreShaun Hayward was offered by Eastern Michigan University, his 4th offer http://bit.ly/1Bhnzcl
Dear holybovine,
Yes he has cornered the high school market of available recruits, but he is also doing the same thing that is popping up with stories of U-M. He is getting more verbals than he can actually translate into scholarships. I think this will come back to bite him and Western, with some of the coaches of high school teams here in Michigan. That may open more doors for Eastern.

Fleck engages in big-time, professional, modern recruiting. Anything that provides an advantage for the program and is not expressly forbidden by the NCAA should be utilized. I admire his approach. He thinks big. Everything is a competition.

Rob Hull is on EMU FB recruiting 'like a cheap suit.'

He's doing a very nice job.

Here is his Twitter account:

"Had a fun time at the Eastern Michigan Elite Junior Day today." (part of a Tweet by an attendee).

Apparently had a large number of h.s. non-seniors attending today...

I'll wait to post an updated listing.
Here is what Scout is showing as our current offers:

http://www.scout.com/college/eastern-mic...-prospects

We should have a large class next year 22-24 players.

God bless CC for really, really trying hard to be the best recruiter he can be, but I look at that list and see an AWFUL LOT of P5 conference team offers.

Like a lot of Spartans, Hawkeyes, Wolverines, etc. - teams which played on New Year's Day.

That said, he'll probably do pretty well this year with G5 players, but once I see Sparty, Wolves, H'eyes, Nittany Lions, Hoosiers, (not) Fighting Illini, etc. my sense of reality kicks in... Got to keep this real...
