Not alike Candle hasn't been with the Rockets all season, I disagree game prep and the players staying focus on what they have to do will be the difference. UT still has better talent. ELY, not a dual threat, thats where Julian comes into play. Maybe a defensive game. UT proves it's worth when they beat the Air Force when Campbell took over and the Cadets were the better team. UT defense was not as good as well, facing a option type offense. UT to win.

Although it sounds as if Julian's strengths are better matched against Temple's defense than are Ely's I serious doubt that Julian ever sees the field unless it is in a mop up role once the outcome of the game has been determined beyond any doubt.

Ely has been the man the entire year and I seriously doubt that the coaches will take a chance by turning the keys over to a relatively inexperienced Julian regardless of how bad it may get except in the case of mop up duty previously noted.

Heacock is still at Toledo. Campbell has been pursuing him to try to get him to take the DC position at ISU, but Heacock has not made a decision yet. I heard that he said he will not consider the ISU job until after the UT bowl game. Then at that time he will decide whether or not to stay at UT or go to ISU. Unlike the other assistants that bolted, he did not want to bolt on the players before the bowl game.

That says a lot about Mr. Heacock. He does it the right way.
