UT is pulling out all the stops, the Pregame party is free and so far 800 people have rsvp'd to the event. It's nice to be an alum of a University that has a great alumni association and the money to do this!

I was fortunate enough to indulge in the alumni association pregame buffet down in Little Rock. They sure do put on a nice gathering. The food is amazing.

The amount of active alumni donors is between 2.5-3%. Dr. Gaber realizes it takes money to make money so the quality of away tailgates has been stepped up. The idea is to provide a great experience and the donations will follow.

I could be wrong but I thought President Gaber said at the Little Rock pregame event that the alumni donation rate was 4%. I hope that it hasn't gone down!

She did say 4% at Arkansas. During an event in November we were speaking one on one and after I quoted the 4% figure she said the actual number was in the 2.5-3% range.

She said 4% while in Little Rock, and 2.6% while in Foxborough, but with 3 fantastic tailgates this year that make me extremely proud to be a Rocket alum & fan, I don't mind letting a little statistical fuzziness slide.

Figuring even a modest $20 a plate, this is an expensive and generous out-lay.

Hope those attending consider digging down deep. Some of the Florida ones might not have even been to campus in years. Someone taking promotional videos or would that be too obvious? Swag is always a good money puller. Plastic (but tasteful) UT rings, t-shirts, stuff easy to carry into the game but that will make it home.
