Watched it today. Always comes off well. Lots of coachspeak.

1. Said all 7 years he was at Toledo, he had opportunities to leave.

2. Said he would recruit within four hours of Ames, but would still recruit Ohio, Michigan and PA. Said he would give those players a Big 12 option.

3. Said current ISU coach Ayeni (sp) was the only assistant he has offered a job.

Ok, I just watched it. Gotta say he nailed it. Thought he said really nice things about his journey to UT. He spoke at length and really didn't need to. As long as UT makes a smooth transition I hope he does well at ISU.

I was a bit surprised he accepted the job on the spot. To me, that shows he was checked out to some degree this past week. I can't blame him for that, but I can blame him for part of the WMU loss.
