Who would you like to see the Big XII expand with? I say if they expand to 12 then grab Cincinnati, and Memphis. If they expand further then go to 16 with Cincinnati, Memphis, Temple, UCONN, Navy, and Air Force.
YES, not only am I a Memphis fan but i am also a big Sooners fan

I really don't see the Big XII going boom, They will most likely expand after the exemption to hold a championship with ten teams gets turned down. Big 10 and the Pac 12 are already saying no to the exemption.

We will find out next month. 03-thumbsup
This seems to be a pretty cool site, it has a disqus comment forum for every big 12 team.

Berry Trammel (sportswriter from Oklahoma) on the WV "Statewide Sportsline" right now... Says "expansion is now inevitable" for BXII. When asked "who?" he just said, "UConn and Cincinnati makes most sense..." and that adding UConn and UC would "restore a logical regional conference."
Cincinnati, Memphis, East Carolina and BYU makes sense. 07-coffee3
No expansion candidate is perfect but I think exposure in greater MSA's would be good for Big 12 programs. It's more than just sports but also promoting your school to young minds. This is where Cincinnati and Connecticut would benefit the conference. Going into the Eastern Time Zone more fully gives you two programs ready to compete at a P5 level while exposing B12 schools to high schoolers in Ohio and New England.

If I were to design divisions it'd be tricky, being that UT/OU may want to be in the same division.

UT, OU, KU, OSU, WVU, ISU
TT, Baylor, TCU, UCONN, UC, KSU

UT-Baylor, KU-KSU, WVU-UC, TT-OSU, ISU-TCU and UCONN-OU would be protected and the rest of the cross-division games would be rotated.

I agree, Oklahoma got killed which makes expansion more important.

They gave a shot to the Big 12 this year with no conference championship, I don't believe they will do it again.

Realignment and expansion on hold, for now

Now it is on board again..
What are the chances that the Big 12 would ever consider a member of the MAC, Sun Belt, or CUSA for membership in the Big 12?
None!

Maybe the BIG 12 should go after Pitt and Cincinnati to help WVA with travel costs.
Peterson: We can only hope Big 12 leaders settle expansion talk soon

Why is this board dead when there is so much realignment discussion going on? I'd expect this forum to be hopping!
