When you click on the conference rankings in that link, it has different numbers for current RPI. It has UAB 97 there.

It may make us feel good. Unfortunately current RPI does not mean squat until about 10 games has been played.

Current RPI assumes all 300+ to be on same level at start of season. The wins and loses need to link up to actually rank the teams

We know. Hence the wording in the title "way too early".
It's too early but not way too early. Way too early would before any games were played.

Updated in OP.
Already updated after tonight's game - we are now at 85.
Jax St is an RPI anchor.
There is nothing we can do about our schedule except win the games. Win against the good teams. Don't screw around and lose to the bad ones.
Now at 136 - I think it dropped by one while I was looking at it.
Auburn sitting one spot behind at 137.
