ESPN loves our name in their preseason comments.

UAB's Midnight Madness name is amazing
Whoever in the Blazers' marketing department came up with the idea to host their first official practice outdoors, and call it "Hoops on the Haasephalt," is the Don Draper of athletic administration

We'll, that's rare. I'm sure the person who named it has moved on.
Didn't realize there were so many rule changes. Should have a big impact on the game.
I don't know why all the articles that referred to Hoops on the Haasephalt as "rebranded". It was not rebranded....they literally kept the same brand.

Got it noticed though. Another genius marketing move.

The school said it was rebranded.

Quote:"Haasephalt has taken a life of its own," said Haase, going into his fourth year as UAB's head coach. "I will say that it was important going into this year that we keep the name but rebrand the product.

"The product, I felt, had gotten a little monotonous, will certainly be some elements that are the same but really we're trying to give it a different feel and a different flair. I think to this point, we've done that."
So taking it to the grass rebranded it.
No- it was a boxing venue...
Haase on the Grass.

I'm pretty sure someone else here said it first.

No lie.

I remember the shot clock thing, but damn. There's a lot of good stuff in that PDF. I want to be optimistic, but I'm sure the reality won't be nearly as nice.

That would be an actual rebranding.
