# 8 Williams of Ball State maybe one of the best ends in the league, perhaps no other end in this league as good as him that UT will play. Cheaton did a good job on him with the exception of the slant play they had for the TD.

You just sensed it was a matter of time before he got a big gainer.

One of the few plays Rockets didn't really blitz and allowed Neal time.
BIG MISTAKE!!!
Did they not try or was it just picked up by Ball St.?

The other team is going to win some plays. To my recollection, Norrils has never been a speed burner yet he's challenged most games with defending the tallest/fastest receiver. He's been rather successful. He picks up the ball well and has several knock-aways. I personally didn't see Ball St's success on that play being due to any chronic problem on out part, other than maybe a faster/taller corner might have won that match-up but lost how many others if lacking other skills Norrils has. I agree with Springboromark, I thought we defended the guy pretty well.

Still a good thing their QB was rather inexperienced.
Per PittRocket who was watching the replay online, Williams pushed off, to get the cushion from Norrils.

The bigger question in my opinion, is where were the safeties? When you are up 21, especially in the second half the one thing you don't want to do is give up the big play.

We have that debate all the time. On the other hand, playing tough got the 21 point cushion. I personally don't understand implementing a prevent unless our guys are wearing out.
Congratulations on beating BSU.
Hopefully NIU can do the same and provide you with a good game and a large crowd in three weeks time.

He definitely pushed off Norrils shoulder coming out of his slant break to gain separation for the TD. Clear PI IMO. Not sure why there wasn't safety help there either.
