I have seen two basic preference expressed here on a possible football stadium. I think it will be interesting to see which idea has the the most support. Here are the two choices.

Yes, play at the BJCC stadium if it is built in the next 2 to 3 years.

No, wait until we can build our on campus stadium, however long it takes to finance, get approved, and build.
Option 1
Option 1. The stadium will be built at the BJCC and our option will be to stay at LF or go to the new stadium. What do you think Clark will do? See you at the new home of the Blazers.
Is this really a choice? Winter is coming!

Option 1
I doubt that I will be able to live long enough to see UAB build its own OCS. For that reason, between the two offered choices, I go with what appears to be "the bird in the hand". It offers UAB a new facility (not as good as the MPF, but that wasn't offered) that will help UAB by giving it a chance to build new on campus facilities for our team.

Just think -- for the first time in its football history UAB will be LEGALLY able to sell fifty yard line prime location seats to season ticket purchasers (perhaps complete with premiums for most desired seating) at some time in the spring like other schools do.
Option 1
Option 1.

OPTION 2

So, to clarify, if they build a stadium at the BJCC, you would rather keep playing at Legion Field.
What our options will be.

1. Play at a brand new state of the art facility tailored to UAB.
2. Play at Legion Field.
3. Play at the Hoover met, Lawson Field, or any number of high school stadiums.
4. Play in a cow pasture.
5. Don't play football at all.

Unless I am completely floored by developments in the next few months the OCS is not an option. I give an OCS right now 15% chance of happening and that is a highly optimistic prediction after drinking 10 gallons of Kool-Aid.
#1 Without hesitation. Again it would be easy to market to kids and their families. A stadium is now essentially a large TV studio and having that venue to put on TV and showcase your city and team is awesome.
Option 1.

This is a marathon not a sprint. Heres what we have to do

1. Get a New stadium. It helps attendance & recruiting. Also better opponents. Recruiting helps winning which helps attendance. In the long run it will help build a fan base.
2. Build facilities (what HCBC wants not pumpkinhead and Ingram) This will help recruiting and winning
3. OCS down the road when the BOT makeup is better or we are separate. If we are a successful program winning and competing at a high level (maybe in a better conference) It will help get us an OCS
I think we should have a formal stadium.
The question is what you prefer, not what the realistic option is.
Option 1, if it includes traditional settings such as tailgate areas and adequate parking.

Whoever gets the tuxedo rental franchise outside the stadium will make a fortune.
& we could have Gene Hallman valet park.

I am with you UABFRENCHY! Two years, from this day forward, to raise funds, finance, plan, and approve, and two years to build. Screw all of that become a tenant of BJCC and put UAB Stadium on the back burner because we have no choice. There are several local big dogs who have deep pockets who are just as adamant as UABFRENCHY and TheGORILLA who strongly "believe" that UAB Stadium can be constructed in that time frame, and believe you-me they are working on it.
