Makeup for the money lost by Watts?
Money that has been donated for anything and everything athletic since the campaign kicked off. New basketball locker room, etc.
And BBVA's donation to the soccer field, which was used as a tawdry Watzi tactic at the time. They should reannounce just to give Coach Getman and the program the attention it deserves.

That figure was included in another line item...

Quote:-$28.9 million to support UAB Athletics, including $17.2 million in private and public investments to support the return of football, rifle and bowling.

-$1.5 million from BBVA Compass for a new soccer field. BBVA Compass Field will seat about 2,500 for UAB men’s and women’s soccer home games, showcasing one of the most popular sports in the world and contributing to the continued revitalization of Birmingham as a destination city.
Interesting! Also interesting that the Campaign couldn't reach $600 million due to the controversy.
Yep. It was around $530 million or so around December.
$566 million in Feb 2015 + $30 million roughly for athletics = $596 million of the over $600 million.

Does this mean only $4 million new since Feb 2015?

Fundraising for UAB athletics should have been part of the $1 Billion Campaign from the get go. I'm happy to see it included now.

The news release says the campaign is at $617M. So $21M since February not including athletics.
Ok. Still not very good.
At that rate they would be about $200 million short of their goal at the end of 2018.
What was the donation number before the football cut was announced? How much was lost in potential donations between November 2014 and June 2015?
What happened to the 31 million we raised. Just sayin'

It was at $566 million in February.

I believe it was around $530 million last December.

They are including it in their totals to prop it up.
