Congrats to Mr Ely and Mr Norrils! Congrats to all the Rockets that made it happen on Saturday!
Congrats to both, who've exhibited commitment and determination to battle back from injury and illness to return to the field. Very impressive accomplishments and equally impressive play Saturday.
Norrils beats out the NATIONAL Defensive POW. Lots of Rocket awards.
Interesting...the EMU QB had some fairly good stats. Granted, they didn't beat a ranked team on the road, but they did win their first D1 non-conference road game in 27 years...lol

Roback was 17-24 for 330 yards and 3 TD's with a rating of 99.0.
Ely was 21-38 for 237 yards and 1 TD with a rating of 64.7.

Which shows that stats aren't the only measure of success.
Seven third down pass conversions, four of over ten yards, no sacks and no ints. That's impressive.

Ability to get rid of the FB quickly plus a nice job by the OL, that should only get better as the season progresses.
Roback, Toledo St. John's alum taking the reps. He threw a few picks back in 2013 agaisnt the Rockets. Must be improved from his freshman year.

Both these guys had a very tough year least year with Injury and Illness! This will inspire the team for sure!

Their other guy got hurt. Two great fill-ins at the QB position by Toledo products last week-end. Same on the D side, Wormley getting some good press up north, three stops behind the lines and a sack then of course, Norril's amazing coverage job.

Roback and DeShone Kizer, some real QB talent coming out of the Toledo area.
Well deserved. BTW, is it pronounced E-lee, or E-lye?

Right...but whomever decides the winner...do they actually watch all the games, or just look at stats?

It is pronounced Ealey, just like another QB at Toledo, who just so happened to go 35-0!!!
