Not sure if he left or was dismissed.

Still the only place I have seen it mentioned so far.
It was bound to happen even without all the drama at UAB. A new guy brings in his people. The guy who didn't get the job moves on.
That's a shame, he's a good guy. Would much rather have him as our AD. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to Hardekopf.
Does Messina keep his current position still with his new responsibilities?
His term as FAR has not been renewed yet.
Word is that Ealy was escorted from the building and that his position was eliminated.
Without football no need

I guess the thinking is that since we don't have an AD we don't need an asst AD...
True dat.

Wow. That's cold.
Shannon was one of the good guys. This blows. Again, time to start raising unholy hell.
Good news is that he may be low enough on the totem pole to not get a Nondisclosure buyout, but high enough to spill some beans.

Exactly. Lets hope he shares.

I highly doubt it. The freaks are running the asylum & don't want anything to get out.

So what are they going to do...kill him...he'll have an "accident".

If he is as good a guy as everyone says, he will spill what he knows and refuse a nondisclosure settlement. If he doesn't, he should receive the same treatment on this board that Mackin has received.
I have never been so disappointed in the UAB administration in my 27 + years here as I am now. I wish we would get some good news for once, instead of this slow/constant/tortuous series of bad news announcements. I'm so discouraged.

Disappointment is an understatement, our administration is an outright embarrassment. Watts, the BOT, and Co. reward the lap dogs and persecute anyone that wants to make this University great. I've had enough.

If it really went down like that, then, yeah, that's pretty messed up. I knew Ealy was going to be gone eventually. Ingram would want to do his own thing with his own people.

Just disposing of someone like that is wrong no matter how you look at it.

Unless it got ugly. No one here knows what led to him being led from the building. Maybe Ealy followed blazerman's advice and tried to punch Ingram in the nose. 03-lmfao
