Great job by the USGA President to stand up and speak out. Hopefully there's a full interview on the news this afternoon.
Assuming the "they" in the first tweet is the BOT, but wish that would be explicitly stated.
I will gladly trade ownership rights to UAB to the BOT in exchange for our ownership of Coleman Coliseum.
I keep waiting for a smoking gun. It may or may not happen. At the end of the day, I don't know what difference it would make. No one has any means to check their unbridled power.
Very true--we have an entire arsenal of smoking guns.
However, with each move to block and obfuscate, the BOT looks stupider and more desperate in the court of public opinion. Major kudos to Garrett for not taking this lying down and speaking out on the BOT. We need more student leaders that understand what's going on and will fight back.

I think the Alabama taxpayers need to be made aware that the Bryant Bank UABOT believes they OWN UAB. It's that kind of plantation mentality that has caused many of our conflicts with the Board.
Of course, if the Bryant Bank UABOT does indeed OWN UAB, by default they also OWN Birmingham.
And here I thought it would be hard to find a new SGA pres. as tough as Anjali Wagle.
This makes me proud to be a UAB alum.

Hahaha, thats amusing. I guess they (the Trustees ) want to be able to fall back on the students so they can say that they were 'forced' to permit the student fee increase by a vote of the students, thus relieving themselves of being seen as supportive of UAB Football, Bowling, or Rifle reinstatement.

I guess they (the Trustees ) want to be able to fall back on the students so they can say that they were 'forced' to permit the student fee increase by a vote of the students, thus relieving themselves of being seen as supportive of UAB Football, Bowling, or Rifle reinstatement.
I think you're on to something. They don't want people to even THINK that they support football at UAB even a little bit.
