I'm looking for something official that the NCAA is granting eligibility waivers to UAB football players on a case-by-case basis

In a discussion with a USA fan about it (very civil, so far 03-lol) but it's bugging me that google hasn't been particularly helpful.

I saw a reference to it in the Champlin article about Marino, but I know I've seen it before then, like around the time we announced it for '17.

Thanks in advance.
I saw it mentioned in the article about Nick Vogel returning to UAB from Southern Miss, too.
Much of it was via interviews by both Coach Clark and AD ingram...
GOOGLE and such sites are more helpful with situations that have a history. UAB's situation is a first of its kind, and a lot of the NCAA rulings may be ground breaking precedents for later applications and be made as cases are brought to it individually by UAB after a two year program hiatus.
Thank you. I now look at google in a whole new light.

The way it'll work, he said, is UAB will petition the NCAA so that each player joining or rejoining the program this year or next year won't lose any eligibility before 2017 and the NCAA will grant those waivers.

Bingo. Thank you.

So what you're saying is, you have no idea how a search engine works.
You just described an encyclopedia.

Perhaps so, but to me, the summation by BlazrNB'ham and mine are about the same. I just presumed that a search engine cannot manufacture factual material where none yet exists.
It was spoken by Clark and Ingram. I was looking for public record of those statements. Thus, factual material which exists.

They are about the same in the same way green and gold are almost the same color.

Nope doesn't know how one works.

This is the site where the NCAA publishes formal Legislative Waivers:

http://www.ncaa.org/compliance/waivers/l...ef-waivers

There is nothing as of yet regarding a formal public notice regarding incoming players to UAB. It could very well be an "understanding" rather than a ruling.
