Per Tony Kurre.
With a big announcement, I presume?
Kurre said to talk about the 2017 return and that Kurre will ask him about Clark's contract.
I thought Kurry was on vacation.

He will only comment on what he has rehearsed with pumpkinhead.
So what did Fumbles have to say?
Nothing earth-shattering. He DID say the $28,000 pledge total quoted in the sNews was inaccurate and that it was a lot more than that.
It was very uneventful... one caller though asked him about previous BOT interference with facilities, his response was that he hasn't heard of any interference from anybody. He also said that this help from the community is new and it's not like UAB hasn't been out there asking for it. He also changed his story on the Coach Clark contract, now its "we had to get this other stuff out of the way, now we can focus our attention on the contract." Those were the lo-lights. Everything else was typical vague AD speak.
As of right now, I do not care for Ingram. I'm sure it's because of his boss and he's doing/saying what he has to. Maybe I'll like him better when Ray Ray is gone.
I really do not know what some of you are expecting out of this man. Stating that the $28,000 number was way off is a good thing to me. He should know that information, and refute an inaccurate report.

Maybe the bot hasn't interfered with anything so far under his two month apparent reign of terror. We haven't been moving forward with a whole lot right now, and if we haven't asked for anything yet, it's unlikely they are calling him up to say he can't do x y and z. The help from the community is new. UAB hasn't really been asking for it as far as I can tell in the last, but that is not his fault. Maybe his plan was to get the NCAA stuff straightened out before doing Clarks contract. I don't know why this would be the case, but as long as Clark is signed soon we are in good shape.

I am sending my pledge in now that I have seen official proof that there is an actual plan in place. I'll trust Ingram until he gives us a reason not to trust him. I don't think many of us would be willing to walk into a new job and start badmouthing the people responsible for us having the job within days of arriving.
If Clark says he is unconcerned about the contract getting done, why are the fans so worried about it?

I knew no matter Ingram said this morning there would be posts griping about him and calling him names. Way to give him a chance. 03-lmfao

I don't know why that wasn't their story from the beginning. It makes sense that the NCAA response, timeline, waivers, and other reinstatement plans need to be in place and would have been a reasonable explanation for the delay. Instead they insisted they were working on the contract and we were getting drips and drabs that the administration and UA System office were putting up road blocks and meddling and otherwise. They let that go on way too long before finally changing their tune.

Clark has never said he is unconcerned. Clark says he trusts that it will get done.

Clark has to recruit, so everything he says has to be positive for recruiting. With that said, I think it is going to get done.

Correct. There are big issues with it getting done and I am fully aware of them That said with the pressure the major boosters are putting on the administration I feel it will get done. They have been exposed and can only fight us so much.

Right now we need to raise money and that should be our focus.
Clark also can't openly say that Watts & company are jackasses.

He has handled it the best he could have when he has been asked about how it all went down.

Because Coach is being classy and diplomatic. He's being very careful not to offend or burn bridges with the higher ups. He's got to be optimistic and say the right things. We do not.
From what I heard I thought Ingram did well. he dodged a question or two but what could he really say. Again I will say we wont know how god of an AD he will be until Watts is gone a while.

Jay actually did a decent job and seemed human.
Ingram should take a page from Clark's book, instead of lying about something, just tactfully dodge answering questions directly that bring up Watts and his evil companions on the BOT. Ingram has heard about issues with the BOT... but to lie and say he hasn't even heard of them?
Bingo. Not the only thing he has lied about. I hope he gets out of that.
