Currently tied for 23rd at -3.

Graeme McDowell is currently tied for 81st at even par.

British Open Leaderboard
I think DJ and Spieth or going to knock on -20. This course is playing super soft.

Tomorrow mother nature will take back a few strokes methinks.
From the Open website. Can we get a little credit here in the B?

Was the only amateur to come through Final Qualifying and did it in style at Woburn, back-to-back rounds of 67 giving him a three-stroke victory over Oliver Fisher. The day was not without drama, though - the young Irishman, studying at the University of Alabama and fresh from a Palmer Cup victory over America with Europe's top college players, arrived on the first tee just a minute before his start time. In 2009 he became the first player to make a successful defence of the Irish boys title and captained Britain and Ireland's boys to victory over Continental Europe.

This just illustrates that the farther you get from Alabama, the less likely you are to see any awareness of the state of UA System relations with which we are so (painfully) aware. We see this in coverage from the New York Times and other distant media sources on a regular basis.

This is just crappy journalism. It has nothing to do with the system or slighting UAB. Texas has about 50 different schools it seems like, and outside of UTEP I have no reason to know any of them. Same with California. It's very common to have a university of _____ at ____ in any system.
Dunne has another great round going. He is -3 after 15 holes today, to be sitting at -6.

Incredible.,
Dunne finished today at -6, birdieing the 18th hole; now tied for 9th. GMac still on the course on 11, at even par. Cut is predicted to be Par. Come on Graham,, get a birdie or 2 to seal the deal for the weekend. It was mentioned on the broadcast that he played golf at "Alabama-Birmingham", same place as GMac. Had a couple of All American seasons. Also mentioned that Willett, who was leading for most of the day at, played 2 years in Alabama at Jacks State.

GMac is now at -2 with two holes left in the round. The cut is still projected at even par.

Spoke too soon....bogey bogey finished the round at even par...cut is still projected at even par.
Just want to see Paul get a top 10. Auto invite for next year and will get him established in the PGA.
"Too windy early today" so Round two will be late today and #3 on Sunday.
After the first nine on the third round, Paul Dunne is tied for the lead at -10; he is 4 under par on today's round. CARRAMBA!
At 10:30 central time,,, UAB's Paul Dunne birdies the 10th hole to take the outright lead in the British Open at -11. Amazing performance for our Blazer. GMac finished today at -2.
Huge! Hope he can pull this off.
I've never been this engrossed in a golf tournament. What a performance!
Dunne tied for the lead after the 3rd round at -12. First time an amateur has led since Bobby Jones did it. Dunne will play in the final group tomorrow. Finally they are saying UAB rather than "Alabama-Birmingham" , and the announcers are crediting our Sports Info folks for feeding them all the right bullet points about Paul , his coach, and UAB.
Each UAB player in this competition had a different UAB Golf coach. That makes it a TRADITION in that sport. UAB is building its national name one sport at a time.
I hope he rides his performance to big endorsements and multiple tour wins as a pro. Looks like a tough competitor.
